Carnage is a four-hander directed by Roman Polanski and based on the play written by Yasmina Reza. Starring Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster and Christopher Waltz, the film is beautifully shot and acted. The Blu-Ray version looks and sounds superb.
Following a playground scuffle between their 11-year old children, the parents of the "victim" invite the parents of the "perpetrator" to their apartment to sort it out. A polite discussion of childrearing soon escalates and cordial banter develops a razor-sharp edge as all four of the well-heeled American parents reveal their laughable contradictions, grotesque prejudices and inability to cope with conflicts.
The film will be introduced by Alan Cooklin and Gill Gorell Barnes, both family therapists, who will also lead the discussion after the film.
